Fart Roulette is a party game. It has no accounts, and we collect as little as we can to run it. This policy explains what the app uses, why, and who else is involved.

What you give us

Your display name and avatar. You choose a name and either a cartoon avatar, a photo, or the photo on your own iPhone contact card. Your name and avatar are shown to the other players in your game. If you pick a photo, we shrink it to a small image and upload it so other players can see it. Your name and settings are stored on your phone.

What the app uses on your phone

Contacts (optional, iPhone). Only if you tap "Use iPhone Profile." You pick your own card; we read only its photo and first name. Nothing else from your contacts is read, stored, or uploaded.

Camera (optional). Only to scan a game's QR code. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.

Photos (optional). Only the single photo you choose as your avatar.

Notifications (optional). Used so your phone can play its sound while locked. These are scheduled on your phone; we don't send marketing notifications.

How games work

Each install gets an anonymous ID (no email, no password). When you play, our server stores the game: its 4-digit code, the players' names and avatars, and each round's results. Games are closed after a few hours of inactivity and deleted about a day later. Avatar images may be kept for reuse in your future games.

Ads

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. With your permission (Apple's tracking prompt, or Google's consent form in the EU/UK), ads may use your device's advertising identifier to be more relevant. Without it, you still see ads, just less personalized ones. You can change your choice anytime in the app's Settings. Buying "Remove Ads" turns ads off. See how Google uses data from apps.

Purchases

Purchases are made through Apple or Google; we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and record what you own (for example, a sound pack), linked to your anonymous ID.

Service providers

Supabase (game server and storage), Google AdMob (ads), RevenueCat (purchases), Apple and Google (app stores and notifications), Cloudflare (this website). They process data only to provide their service to us.

Children

Fart Roulette is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Your choices

You can play with a cartoon avatar instead of a photo, decline any permission, change ad tracking in Settings, or delete the app to remove what's stored on your phone. To ask us to delete server-side data, contact us below.
